Damage Policy, Warranty & Defects,

 

FURNITURE ON MAIN guarantees that all furniture sold or purchased through our company, is brand new and in excellent condition. No furniture items are refurbished or used (unless stated) and come in original packaging from our vendors. We take extra measures in the delivering of these goods.

 

 

Special note on colors, finishes, leather, and stone

  • We cannot guarantee that the finish of the furniture (including wood, simulated wood, leather, or stone) will be exactly as pictured.
  • Naturally occurring variations or imperfections in the grain, color, or sheen of wood may occur. Stone finishes, such as marble and granite, may differ in color and veining. Additionally, variations in the color, sheen, and texture (including wrinkling and natural marks) of leather may occur due to both natural phenomena and different dyeing and tanning processes. These naturally occurring characteristics are not viewed as damages or defects.
  • Due to differences in the resolution of computer monitors, as well as differences in lighting conditions in photographs, images of products displayed on our website may differ in color to the items you receive. Furniture is often photographed in bright, sun-filled rooms, and may look different in your home. We work directly with manufacturers to obtain the highest quality photographs and display our merchandise as accurately as reasonably possible.
  • Furniture with a distressed finish may have marks, spots, scratches, and/or other distress marks that are intentionally made by the manufacturer to achieve a ‘distressed’ look. These are not considered damages or defects.

 

 

It's unlikely but what if part of my order arrives damaged?

  • Upon delivery, you will be asked to sign a delivery slip indicating that the order was received in good condition. Thoroughly inspect the furniture prior to signing. In the unlikely event that any part of your order arrives damaged, please write “damaged” on the delivery slip next to the damaged piece(s). In addition, please take pictures of items in question and email them to slambert@highland.net within 24 hours of your delivery.
  • Provided you note the issue on the delivery slip and photograph the items with issues and send us the photographs, the manufacturer will send replacement parts free of charge directly to your home.
  • We stand by our products. You will not be charged for the redelivery of any previously damaged products. We reserve the right to fix damaged or defective pieces at our discretion.
  • Only items marked damaged or defective on the delivery slip at the time of delivery are eligible for free repair or free replacement parts.

Signing a delivery receipt without a piece count or noted damages/shortages will result in denial of a claim from Us and the Freight Co.

 

 

 

 

 

In Home Delivery Policy - The In Home Delivery company will ask you to sign a BOL stating you received the item or items in good condition,  before signing please inspect to be sure that everything looks good,  no claims can be made against the Carrier if you or whomever is the responsible party for signing the delivery BOL is not made at the time of delivery.



FURNITURE ON MAIN  and its affiliates are not liable for any furniture damages when the customer uses their own contracted Freight Carrier. All items are inspected prior to leaving manufacturers and are in excellent and new condition. It is customer's responsibility to track freight, ensure condition of freight, and file any necessary claims. If there is a problem, we can also assist. Our fine furniture pieces are packaged very securely to minimize the possibility of damage. 

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are generally limited to defects in materials and craftsmanship. The manufacturer's warranty begins when the merchandise is delivered. FURNITURE ON MAIN provides no warranties either expressed or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. All such warranties are expressly and specifically disclaimed. FURNITURE ON MAIN shall not be responsible for any indirect, special or consequential damages. Customers that reside in "remote" or other areas not accessible by an authorized restoration center will be responsible for any trip and travel charges incurred in the warranty claim process.

 

MANUFACTURER DEFECT

If a manufacturer defect is found, we will make every attempt to submit the necessary information to the manufacturer for you to receive a repair or replacement according to the manufacturer's recommendation and warranty. FURNITURE ON MAIN will not and cannot be held liable for color variations in manufacturer or custom wood pieces due to stain or grain of wood types. FURNITURE ON MAIN reserves the right to repair any defects or damages if necessary.
